I’m not saying that market force is the way to go, they have their narrow visions and have signs that are often misleading. But I do believe that even the most state-led industries become what they are because of market forces, not in spite of.
The most authoritarian and autonomous states are working as very capitalistic institutions, across periods, across borders. State insulation, is not about reducing the power of the market, but about maintaining absolute power of the market, making sure that market actors do not play politics!
Market should not be seen as vi-a-vis state, it should be seen as part of the same coin as the state. lose one, lose all.
